In the last 6 years I have taken groups of veterans on long distance walks covering 12.600 miles and have helped them with some of the problems they have with PTSD.
I allow them to think they take me on walks when, in truth, I am leading them and in the evenings I even let them scratch my belly and behind my ears as it seems to help them.
I am always there to greet them every time they come into camp even if they have only been away a few minutes and my tail is becoming very painful as I constantly wag it for them, again it seems to make them happy. I allow them to share their beds with me in the evenings and I make sure I leave a coating of my fur on every surface of the tents, tour bus and support vehicles so that when the veterans are not with me they take a part of me with them.
Although I am officially the VIA Mascot, I see myself as the expedition leader and I am currently seeking a blonde female to share my growing responsibilities and feel it is time I had some pups of my own to take over as my heirs.
